Alright, you may not be interested in fixing your child’s Footie PJ’s. Neither was I, but when my son became devastated to find a hole in the bottom of his favorite pair I told him I would fix them.
The repair took me about a half an hour from start to finish. It’s fairly straight forward. I bought the replacement material at JoAnn’s and used a 50% off coupon. I used a seam ripper to get the torn grippers off, and then used that as a pattern for the new grippers.
Pin with right sides of the fabric together. I turned the PJ’s wrong side out.
They originally serged the edge, but I just sewed twice around. This is the second stitch.
