Christmas RV Tour
Hey everyone! I’m so excited to share my Christmas RV tour with you today! It almost didn’t happen this year, but we pulled it off. Our current Class A RV renovation project has hit a few roadblocks. We ran into a lot of expensive fixes that slowed the whole renovation progress down. It is far from done! I had high hopes that we would be taking this RV out at least once during the Fall camping season, but that never happened.
I loved decorating our Class C RV for Christmas last year, and really wanted to do the same with the Class A. I managed to finish up a few projects just in time to take some pictures. What you don’t see in these pictures, is all the unfinished projects! The flooring isn’t done, the sink isn’t fully hooked up, and there are several drawer fronts missing from the kitchen area. Not to mention, we still need to replace the propane tank, fix the generator, then gut the entire bathroom and back bedroom!

The To-Do List
Here is my original to-do list! I have checked many of these things off this list, but there is still a lot to do. The exterior will have to wait until the Spring, since it’s currently covered in 10 inches of snow!
- Rip out carpet and replace with new vinyl or laminate flooring
- Paint walls
- Paint cabinets and replace hardware
- Remove trim around slide-out and replace
- Cut curved area of slide-out flooring to make straight
- Replace window coverings with bamboo shades or curtains
- Reconfigure slide-out layout and replace couch and dinette
- Clean front captains chairs
- Clean and salvage curtain that goes across front window
- Paint dash
- Update lighting
- New counter tops and farmhouse sink
- Seal outside from water, remove decals and clean or paint exterior
Here’s a quick BEFORE picture of what this area used to look like!

Great job! I love the peel and stick in your living area. Can you please let me know where I can purchase.
Sarah Lemp
Hi! It’s not peel and stick, it’s done using a Sharpie :) https://www.allthingswithpurpose.com/create-the-look-of-wallpaper-or-shiplap-using-a-sharpie-paint-pen/

Wow, that’s a really great idea! Looks amazing.

I love what you did with your RV! We are remodeling our RV and I was wondering where you got your sofa beds?
Sarah Lemp
Hi Jodie!
We got the sofa beds from Bob’s Discount Furniture. They are actually part of a sectional, but they allow you to purchase just the armless section and you can put a bed in any of their couches!

As a fellow RVer, I was excited to read this post! Everything looks so great! We always go on a trip right after Christmas; one of these years I really need to do a little decorating in the trailer.

Great job!!! Love the new look! Can’t wait to see in person one day.
Kathryn
It’s the cutest Sarah! I love all of it!
Mary
You have done a wonderful job! Kids are sure cute and look so cozy on those gorgeous sofa beds.
Just a question though, do you always put in 110 voltage light fixtures?
Really like the blue color. Happy Holidays!
Sarah Lemp
Hi Mary! Thanks so much! Yes and no LOL I use 12v light fixtures when possible, but there is a very limited selection out there of trendy or cute 12v lights. Instead, did you know you can wire 110v fixtures in with the 12v wire, as long as you use 12v light bulbs!! It’s a game changer!

Your RV is the cutest thing ever Sarah! I even love the outside! You did such a great job renovating and decorating it! I’ll bet your kids just LOVE to hang out in there!
