Happy almost-Thanksgiving! Wow this last month has gone by so fast. If we haven’t “met” before, I am Bree from bumblebreeblog. There has been lots of fun stuff going on over there including the start of some fun Christmas crafts. Today I am going to share with you a post that I shared last year and was so fun and easy I knew I had to share it with YOU this year.
These burlap stockings are super easy to make and is a great way to create a personal stocking for your family or as gifts.
Burlap Stockings
Materials:
Burlap stockings
Iron-on vinyl
Cricut or other cutting machine
Step 1
For this project I used my Cricut expression, but you can use any vinyl cutting machine. I took my iron-on vinyl and placed it on my mat, with the shiny side down.
Step 2
I then used CCR to organize the images I wanted to cut out of my vinyl. When using the iron-on vinyl you have to cut all your images backwards. This is a very important step. I have ruined a lot of vinyl because I forgot this step.
Super helpful tip: If you have a Cricut, I would use the CCR to cut out all images at one time and then cut each piece apart for easier ironing and removing the vinyl that doesn’t make up the image.
Step 3
Take off the background vinyl, leaving the image attached to the clear plastic background. Flip your image over, and place them on your stocking. Now iron your vinyl on your stocking, making sure that the whole image is sticking to the burlap. Once its fully connected to the fabric, remove the plastic background.
That’s it! Super fun and easy and a great way to create some fun personalizes stockings. These would be perfect for the newlyweds in your life.
These ones are perfect for that person who is addicted to social media. #Christmas
I even created some stockings that were more on the traditional side. I love them!!
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my burlap stockings. How would you personalize your stockings? Let me know in the comment section.
