Hello Friends! This is Bree from bumblebreeblog. I am so excited to be here today and share with you my wedding ring box. I spent last weekend at my best friends wedding. During the wonderful ceremony in the Virginia forest the skies opened up, the rain came pouring down, and thunder and lightning blessed their marriage. The happy couple kissed in the rain and I have never seen my best friend so happy. The wonderful wedding ring box fit perfectly in their rustic forest wedding and now I am going to share with you how to create your own.
Wedding Ring Box
Materials:
- wood box
- wood stain
- moss
- acrylic paint
Step 1
I started my project by staining my wonderful wood box with a great chocolate stain that I have in my stash. The balsa wood sucks up the stain differently than hard wood, so the stain turned out a little more brown and less red then I was hoping, but I still think it looks good.
Step 2
Once the stain has dried I used the acrylic paint to create some detailing on the top of the box. Sage green was one of the colors she choose for her wedding and it looked wonderful with the stain and in the wedding ceremony.
Step 3
Once the paint was all dry. I took the moss and placed it into the box. The perfect place to nestle the rings, to keep them safe, and to even display them.
I found that taking a small piece of moss and placing it inside the ring helped stabilize the ring and helps keep it standing up. Especially the bigger rings. Isn’t this a great way to display the wonderful wedding rings? It totally makes me swoon!
I hope you enjoyed the wedding ring box I created and that you are inspired to create your own. Do you want another cute idea for holding wedding rings? Check out my Wedding Ring Nest.
